On October 17th, JRHS was visited by Sra. Muriel, who owns Cali Arepa catering. She offered her wonderful homemade arepas, filled with seasoned meats, cheesy goodness, and delicious sauces, as we listened to salsa music and practiced our (limited) Spanish. Afterward, she came to our Entrepreneurial Education classes and spoke passionately about her journey as a business owner. She shared strategies for success, discussed financial and community resources for young entrepreneurs, and expressed her passion for sharing her culture and cooking with the gringos of New Hampshire. By the end of the day, we were both nourished and motivated, ready to tackle our class goals and entrepreneurial ventures ahead.
