Thomas Philbrick ('11) Completes Six-Week Wilbur Fellowship at The Kirk Center in MI

Thomas Philbrick (class of 2011) recently completed a six-week Wilbur Fellowship at the Russel Kirk Center for Cultural Renewal in northern Michigan. The Kirk Center is devoted to the work and writings of philosopher Russell Kirk, one of the preeminent American political and cultural thinkers of the 20th century who is often referred to as the father of modern American conservatism. In addition to hosting fellowships and educational programs, the Center hosts prominent critics, writers, and professors to lecture and teach on matters relevant to Kirk’s thought. During his fellowship, Thomas wrote his fifth law review article and continued his additional pursuits as a fiction writer. The law review is part of Thomas’ long-term effort to prepare for the law teaching market. After the fellowship, Thomas plans to work as a litigator for either a law firm or a state government.
