The Value of Vans

The Kingdom Impact ’24 One Day of Giving is all about helping JRHS acquire a new van. In the recent years, we have been running 3 full size vans that support the Jesse education. As many of our viewers know, Omega van is at the end of life, and our goa with this campaign is to make big progress on the purchase of a new van.

With everyone’s help, especially if we can access all the Incentive Funds, we are confident that by the end of the day, we will be $25,000 along our way to a new, used van.

Vans at Jesse are important to the education. Our desire is to take the Jesse experience beyond the classrooms and campus. We use the vans for all of our outdoor education outings, whether that is a quick ride to the park, or a long ride to the mountains for Fall Mountain Retreat.

Our sports teams rely on safe and available transportation, and our vans go all over NH to find competition on the soccer field, basketball and volleyball courts.

Vans add to the Project Based Learning program as we move students about to get the right environment to maximize their learning. Maybe it is to woodland to find ferns, or a building site to put up a timber frame building.

Vans have been integral for our mission trips. When we serve locally, the vans have been there. We have been able to save thousands of dollars in rental fees for our trips to NYC, Boston, Philly, and more. And each van has been a faithful coach to Boston Logan dozens of times to facilitate mission travel.

Other times, the vans offer a simple and safe ride across campus, or maybe a fun lunch trip to the local deli. Students may recall a pouring rainy day when a faculty member grabbed a van to make the rainy pass across campus a little more tolerable.

When possible, we have been able to help the greater church by loaning vans to a neighbor church who needed some help.

All this and more show how safe and reliable vans are part of a well run, robust program. Your support, of any amount, will all add up to helping us renew the essential fleet.
