Senior Feature: Keziah Cyr

Writer: Jeff PhilbrickJeff Philbrick

Keziah Cyr has attended JRHS for all four years of high school. She has not only gained friends and memories but has also gained life-long skills that will aid her as she pursues what the Lord has for her next. Over the course of these years, she has enjoyed the project classes, the sports teams, and the outdoor education adventures. Yet, it was not just the academics that caused her to enjoy the class; it was the formative relationships she shared with those around her through each of them. These relationships helped her to become a great listener and a great leader, allowing her to express her caring spirit to those that she cared for—which was everyone!

Having learned that helping others is what she is gifted in, Keziah Cyr is headed toward sunshine at Southeastern University in Florida to study psychology. Her goal is to work toward becoming a guidance counselor for children and youth. Keziah claims James 1:12 as a guiding life verse which says, “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” As Keziah perseveres to pursue excellence in the years ahead, she will most definitely look back at the fond memories that grew her appreciation for relationships and leadership.
