Elizabeth Galatis followed the family tradition and attended Jesse Remington High School for all four years. Elizabeth came to us a bit shy, and credits her Freshman English Teacher, Abi Cyr, with helping her get out of her “bubble” and show her that teachers can genuinely care for their students.

Looking back at her Mission Trips with JRHS, Elizabeth says that the 2019 trip to Philadelphia had a significant impact on her life. “It was a challenging experience where God really worked in me to step out of my comfort zone, and trust and learn from Him.”

Elizabeth was a strong basketball player and played all four seasons with the JRHS Sentinels. Her tenacity was instrumental in the Girls winning the Championship this year. The team will miss her next year!

Zephaniah 3:17 is the verse that gives her strength; “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”

Elizabeth was a strong basketball player and played all four seasons with the JRHS Sentinels. Her tenacity was instrumental in the Girls winning the Championship this year. The team will miss her next year!

Elizabeth’s encouragement for the underclassmen is to persevere through the challenges of high school, and find little things to be grateful for even during stressful times. There’s always something to be thankful for, you just need to look for it.

As far as her future plans, Elizabeth plans to dive into her academics in college, and learn more about psychology in a deeper manner. Elizabeth will be attending Gordon College where she will be studying Psychology and Music. She plans to further develop her life skills that will prepare her for life after college.
