It seems like forever ago that at an education oriented event, Kate Baker (Executive Director of Children's Scholarship Fund NH), introduced me to Jeff Philbrick, the Headmaster at Jesse Remington High School. I enjoyed Jeff from the start and we stuck up a conversation about the school. Jeff invited me to campus to talk about the school’s technology needs and whether my company would be able to lend a hand.
I had no idea what to expect on my visit. I was immediately entranced with the small town, small school, Christian mission environment I discovered. What a remarkably well kept secret! As time went on and I grew to know the staff, students and faculty at “Jesse”. I liked literally everything I saw, and everyone I met.
Fast forward to 2022. In response to a “let me know what I can do to help” conversation, I was asked to consider joining the Board of Directors at the school. I was uncertain. It looked like a significant commitment. I questioned whether I was the right person for the job. In a conversation with Ken Mason (JRHS Board Chairman), I expressed my uncertainty. Ken asserted, “…maybe that’s why God put you here.”
I have only grown more fond of the mission, vision and people at Jesse. I am proud to serve and am committed to our community.
