This January, the faculty and staff accomplished the biennial Basic Life Support course and CPR training and certification. As part of our commitment to campus and life safety, the team came together recently to learn and grow together in this essential area. Part of the training included hands-on experience with an AED.
Kevin Drew, alumni parent and Emergency Room Lead Nurse at Catholic Medical Center, led the team through all the necessary steps of adult and child CPR. Each team member had time to both practice and then test on the training mannequins that Kevin brought along.
In the after-class survey, participants were asked, “In the event of an actual emergency, would you feel confident to conduct basic life support and CPR with members of your team?” The Jesse Team confidently can say "yes" to that important question.
