This summer, I had an opportunity to intern at a company my parents started that sells pharmaceutical reagents. This internship lasted for one and a half months. During this time, I handled a lot of work. For instance, I carried pharmaceutical reagents to the warehouse, went on a business delivery, kept accounts, and cast accounts. Among all those jobs, the one I did most was carrying pharmaceutical reagents to the warehouse. I also filled in other jobs when others were too busy to do their work.
There were two reasons why I did this internship. First, I thought I could get some self-improvement when I finished this internship, and I was right. I improved in two aspects of my life: confidence and life skills, especially in communication and solving difficulties. Second, I wanted to gain knowledge from different fields, and it was also good to work on my people skills. Moreover, what I learned about myself in JRHS last year played a significant role in my decision to pursue this internship. From this school, I learned that everyone has good points; do not judge others based on one thing you see. Do not be afraid to try new things if you do your best. Through last year’s studying, I also realized that I am better than I thought. I applied the second and third takeaways to my life to get the internship. The most important thing this experience will help me in the future is letting me know whether I like this job. In other words, it was helping me see whether I would get the same job.
