Cuisine and Culture in Conversational Spanish

We are all about "hands-on" learning here at JRHS, and our recent Conversational Spanish class certainly experienced that! Students have been learning about the Spanish value of food, meal times, and family history as it relates to the cuisine! This morning in class, students practiced preparing a delicious Spanish burrito breakfast while only speaking in Spanish! Students learned the Spanish vocabulary for the parts of the kitchen, appliances, and food, and then they practiced commands. "Cortar los pimientos,” or cut the peppers. “Revuelva los huevos,” or scramble the eggs.” “Añadir queso,” or add cheese. They then enjoyed the fruits of their labor! What an incredible way to learn!
